Ashley is a part-time clinician at Inner Touch Counseling and a group facilitator with Robin’s Hope. She started out as a forensic science major at Virginia Commonwealth University, and after many years of soul-searching and working at 7-Eleven, she returned to school to become a social worker. She obtained a Bachelor of Social Work from VCU in 2022 and a Master of Social Work from VCU the following year. Ashley began as an intern at Robin’s Hope during graduate school, facilitating groups and taking on a caseload of individual clients. She is excited to continue this work at this agency as a part-time non-licensed clinician. Ashley is from the New River Valley in Southwest Virginia and enjoys growing plants and spending time in the woods. It is her life’s goal to build individuals’ innate capacities to heal themselves and their communities.
